In a poem called the Gita Govinda, Kirshina, (a hindu god) in human form, has all sorts of passionate affairs...The Gita Govinda (Sanskrit गीत गोविन्द) ("Song of the Cowherd") is a work composed in the 12th century by the great poet, Jayadeva of Puri, Orissa. It describes the relationship between Krishna and the gopis (cowgirls) of Vrindavana, and in particular one gopi named Radha. This work has been of great importance in the development of the bhakti traditions of Hinduism.
A page from an Oriya translation of the Gita Govinda that was published in 1840.
like I said god gets freaky. The Holi Festival seems to coincide with Kirshina getting freaky with many many many gopis at once and as such Hindu adults flirt and kids play pranks...As usual my Hindusim class interests and confuses me.
